The awesome Chesil Beach from Portland

This incredible pebble beach was created by hundreds of years of longshore drift. It is 160 metres wide, in places 12 metres high, and stretches for 18 miles from the Isle of Portland to Abbotsbury. The bay on the rhs contains the olympic venue, the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
