Rocks and Shiny bits

My mom collected rocks, small bits of glass, shells, and pine cones quite steadily over the past few years. Around her house were plates, bowls, glasses, and every other kind of container filled with artful arrangements of all of the above, usually with some other additions of color. With my friend Judy I removed most of these arrangements and filled a large pot in the back yard with her collection. Pine cones went back to the forest. I'm saving a few of her creations and have photographed others. It was good to dump each collection out carefully because in one I found a gold necklace.
