The Clarion

Picked up my copy of the church mag this morning....a bit late though.

We lost our Youth Worker Zach, in January in very sad circumstances.   Zach was from North Carolina, and had married a Scots girl connected to our church.  He applied and was accepted to be our youth leader and was able to get a work visa to come to this country.  Zach tried very hard, but found the different way of life very difficult, and very much missed the sunshine of North Carolina.  Just after Christmas he decided to go back home, and his marriage broke up.  His farewell to us printed in the magazine is just heartbreaking.  We all wish him well, and also his wife, who is also heartbroken.  Such a sad tale.

Have put on an extra of our dance programme for tonight, up in Stonehouse, always a great country dance..... hope I can remember all the dances!
