a white surprise

A covering of snow on all the higher fells and seen here on Wetherlam.

It's 3 miles along the road to the National Park Visitor Centre at Brockhole but I took the 4½ mile scenic route this morning. Then I phoned home for a lift back. While I was out my husband had been busy ........ including a clean of the car interior.  Didn't notice and got in with my muddy boots.  Oops. 

Don't think you're supposed to swear on Blip so I won't repeat what I said when, just before posting this photo, I spotted two power lines by the tops of the foreground trees. Nothing I can do. It's the only photo that shows the snow well. I tried cropping to a letterbox shape but didn't like the composition.
