Sir Titus Salt

A trip into Saltaire today to pick up some cards from the printers, followed by a walk with Mrs MD & Polly dog in Roberts Park, Saltaire.
It was a pleasant afternoon - nice that the rain had blown away, but the wind was brisk and very chilly.
This is a rather impressive statue of Sir Titus Salt a manufacturer, politician, and philanthropist who built Salt's Mill, a large textile mill, together with the attached village of Saltaire - now a World Heritage Site.
