Central Arcade, Newcastle upon Tyne
This beautiful arcade forms part of the Central Exchange Building which is situated in Newcastle city centre. The building was originally built by Richard Grainger but suffered fire damage and was rebuilt in 1906.
It has very good acoustics and it is often used by buskers singing, playing violins etc.
It houses several shops, the most famous being JG Windows, a wonderful music store where generations of Geordies have bought their records and CD's. The store is now over 100 years old and is one of the oldest music shops in the UK.
