Bird ablutions

These pigeons were enjoying their bath in a muddy puddle as we walked down to the river this morning. 

Storm Doris seems to have caused havoc in the south and in Scotland, but in north Northumberland it's been nothing but rain. All-day heavy rain. But, if the forecast's to be believed, the remnants of Doris's wind may be heading in our direction on Saturday!

To the Maltings in Berwick this evening for a concert - Martin Carthy and John Kirkpatrick. Having assumed that this would be popular, I booked tickets last September, but it wasn't nearly a full house. It was a brilliant concert though, and a nice gathering of friends in the bar during the interval.
