A (h)armless lady of Montpellier
This beautiful caryatid is one of 32 which adorn the shop fronts in the Montpellier district of Cheltenham. They date from 1840 and are based on the classical models at the Erechtheion in Athens. I like the way the bunting has added a bit of patriotic colour even if it's beginning to look a little bedraggled now from the summer rain!
