The fallen orchid petal reminds me of the life of a young man whose life has tragically ended.  During the last fortnight we have been to two funerals.  The first was a relief for a relative whose life was difficult due to various ailments but today’s funeral was of a young father whose death was sudden and a shock to his many friends, colleagues, family and especially his wife and two preschool children.  It was not easy too for someone beside us who also lost her husband of a year and never saw his daughter.
