Calf Roping 
A timed event based on fall round-ups. When young calves needed to be roped and branded.
The Goal
Lasso the calf - tie him down and restrain.

In this event the cowboy is only as good as his horse.
Who must be a super athlete and team player.

The calf gets a brief headstart,
Followed by the horse at full gallop.

When the cowboy dismounts,
His four-legged partner backs-up,
Keeping the rope tight.
