Orquídea

The orchid on my desk had little buds on it when I first got back from Brazil. I was so thrilled, because orchids, while being very simple, are also very difficult. I bought this back in December right before I left, and to have it flower on my return was a great welcome home - especially since orchids literally grow on trees in Brazil.

Anyway, I love looking at the flowers in the sunlight. They shimmer with something finer than glitter and look so soft and edible! What a beautiful little plant!
