Estoril, Downtown Cairo
The course finished well. Everyone passed, a couple with grades, and all happy. There was only one young guy who had hoped to get a better grade than a pass, but didn't quite make it at the end of the day. A Pass on the CELTA though is well worth having and I think around 78% worldwide of candidates 'only' get a Pass grade.
Downtown tonight again and dinner with friend and blipper Undercovercairo to celebrate her recent good news of passing module 3 in the DELTA and of landing herself a great new job in Kuwait. It's bitter sweet though, as I'll miss her when she isn't here.....a few more dinners will be had on our next stint here before she heads off!
Estoril's just across the road from Cafe Riche (blipped on Tuesday) and another institutional place. It's hidden up an inconspicuous alley and doesn't shout 'restaurant'. In fact, it doesn't should anything. Once inside, it's old Cairene and reminiscent of Cairo in better days. Glad that some of those places still exist.
