I'm glad I checked my glove

JJ took the boys to football this morning so I set about clearing the fallen debris from the lawn.  I haven't quite finished but I've never seen so many twigs and branches in one pile.

Before I started I decided my pink summer gardening gloves would suffice to keep my hands warm.  I don't know what made me check them but inside the first one was this large and very sleepy wasp, obviously hibernating.  After tipping it out and photographing it I dropped it over the fence to finish its sleep.
