Reekie Linn

The name means "smoking pool" and it really lives up to it when the River Isla is in full spate, as it was today after all the snow melt on the hills. The river banks do look better later in the year, but it was worth the muddy walk to see and hear the force of the water.

We drove on past Loch of Lintrathen to visit the "Wee Bear" Café, which we discovered before Christmas and were not disappointed by the coffee and cakes on offer:-)  A real gem if you are ever in the area!
