First Poppy

The one thing that I associate with this garden, which  was my Gran's, is the red poppies that are in a big clump in the middle.  I love them and I would love to have more of them. Sadly though, they don't last very long.  They get battered by the rain and it's quite an occasion if there are more than say 5 or 6 in bloom at the one time.
