Doing the impossible to bring clean water
25th February 2017:
This is Pwechi, which because if difficult terrain and extremely poor roads, it is very difficult to get to. However this is our third trip and the number of pumps is up to 12.
At the beginning of February a group of women came to the factory telling their story of illness and death from water borne diseases. It’s the common tale of neglect from an uncaring world.
The team visited with cement and the spider needed to fit the pump. Directions were given and with a little guidance from our builder, the villagers dug and built the well, providing bricks, sand and some small stone, and all the labour and finally all was ready for today’s installation.
