Pontcysyllte Aquaduct
Chris and I went on one of the walks around the Ty Mawr Country Park near Wrexham today. The weather was dull and the river was raging following storm Doris the previous day. There were lots of trees that had come down in the woods and at the side of the River Dee and I was very wary of the river close by which was flooded and flowing extremely fast. The walk was about four miles long but I was disappointed not to see a kingfisher or a woodpecker - probably the wrong time of year. I'd definitely recommend this walk in the summer as I'm sure there would be a lot more to see and much more colour.
Chris walked part way across the aquaduct but I have vertigo so I explored the canal a bit more instead which was full of debris from the storm but the bright barges cheered the gloomy day.
