Derelict Sunday: Old Garage

I thought it best to do my blip early today as later on we're planning to set off to drive home to Newcastle. Mum-in-Law is a little more settled in her care home although her poor memory is making this difficult for her as she keeps forgetting where she is and why she's there. But we couldn't ask for a nicer place or lovelier staff. We know that several of her local friends will visit her during the next week, as will my Editor's sister who lives in Sheffield and who can therefore do a day-trip to visit more easily than we can. We'll probably come back ourselves next weekend.

This photo shows all that remains of an old garage here in Macclesfield; it's been an eyesore for years and the demolition squad moved in about a week ago. Apparently they're going to build a block of flats there. It's good to see a brownfield site being used for new housing for once, instead of green fields!
