St Lucia

We left home relatively early this morning and after a pleasant 8.5 hour flight arrived in St Lucia. The daytime flight gave me an opportunity to finish my book (The Costa winning book of the year, Days Without End by Sebastian Barry),watch a movie and watch both episodes of Moorside which I had downloaded on BBC iPlayer before I left home.

We then had about and 1.5 hour taxi ride to get from the airport to Rodney Bay where we were joining the boat. We had a friendly taxi driver who stopped off at two viewing points for me to get a photo - this is the view of one of the little towns along the route.

Gavin's brother and sister in law were there to greet us. We have now unpacked and are going to find some supper at the marina. 

The wifi in the marina is very poor and it is taking me ages to upload this. I think commenting will be very scarce this week with the poor wifi.
