Curlew calling

Now more important than this sunset (at the end of a miserable grey wet day) is the fact that I have just heard a Curlew calling.

It's 10:30 at night and a Curlew is flying round the valley calling and perhaps wondering why there is no answer to be heard - I think it must be the first to arrive.
