From Constable and a romantic landscape to the understated images of Haida art. I just backblipped an image (see Tues Sept 28) that couldn't be more different. If we are thinking of how they remind me of art sources. Ever time I look at the water, the way it moves, the way it catches the light, I totally understand the work of the West Coast tribes. The images that the surface creates are alive and evocative.
