Behind the camp in a tidal estuary and we waded that at low tide to do a short work through the regenerating forest.  Logging the indigenous forest was one of the first activities settlers undertook.  Fortunately some tall trees have remained and given time the cleared land will regenerate.  It was a contrast to the beach and a good thing to do in the cool of the morning.
