Male cardinal

After church, lunch and a phone call with our youngest daughter in Romania, Roger got a bit more painting done in our bedroom, then we drove out to Rowe Woods to enjoy the sunshine. I took several shots of birds around the feeders near the Visitor Centre, including the beautiful male cardinal shown in my blip, then we went for a good walk on one of the longer trails. It turned out to be really muddy in places, so we were glad we had our proper walking shoes on, but it looks like I will be washing our jeans tomorrow! The cardinal is the state bird of Ohio as well as several other states, and is a common visitor at garden feeders. Later in the day we enjoyed phone calls from our other two children, so we are feeling very blessed this evening!
