A Darling Little Nuthatch

Dear Diary,

It occurred to me that it has been awhile since I featured one of my feathered friends.  This little Nuthatch sweetly obliged me.  I really think it is my best image of these diminutive comedians yet.  I love the winter months which allow me to get close to these little ones.  I might consider keeping a feeder up this summer just for the joy of seeing them.

It is good to see the snow slowly receding, a bit more every day.  We have a long way to go yet but the week ahead is storm free and as February wears down I get more and more optimistic about an early spring.  Despite our storms, it has been the warmest February on record.
