The question is...
How does one person consume 300 gms of smoked salmon within 24 hours?
According to the information on the pack it is to be consumed within 24 hours of opening and only myself eats it! Methinks they are erring steeply on the side of caution, as in the past I have eaten it over a full week after opening, refrigerated all the time of course.
The stuff is SMOKED for goodness sake and as such should be "preserved" I would think and last a considerable time longer than 24 hours!! Anyone else agree?
