Action stations!

5.18am this morning the phone rang! Mum had fallen & had a deep cut on the back of her head ...... the ambulance had been called ...... could we get there? I had had less than 3 hours sleep!

So 'action stations' it was! We reached the Home just as they were putting her in the ambulance ..... so I went with her & Hubby followed in the car. The cut was so deep you could see the bone! But thankfully Mum seemed to be fully conscious ...... laughing & joking with the ambulance technician.

We spent about 6 hours in A&E ...... Mum had an X-ray ..... had her head stitched up ........ we also found a cut on her leg which was closed with steri-strips ....... then we were allowed to take her back as she seemed to have suffered no other ill effects! She is a tough old thing!

After we had got her settled & sorted we headed home for a rest!
