Wound up in Wexford

................ and what better to wash them down than red wine?

I walked to the doctors' surgery today to have the clips removed from my knee.  I had expected to get a rest there, waiting for the nurse, and had taken my book.  But I'd no sooner checked in than she called me through.  I had almost no time to sit and relax; then I walked back.

It was my first day out on my own, without my minder carer reminding me to take it easy.  According to "Map my walk" on my phone, the return journey was just shy of 3km.  But we KNOW it's not that far.  We have noticed an anomaly with "Map my walk" on our phones.  We used it simultaneously on 20th Feb - mine told me I had done 1.2km, W's said just over 1km.  We are more inclined to believe W's version, which means mine is reading some 20% over.  So today, I probably did about 2.4km.  Not much further than 2 days ago.  But I reckon I walked a bit faster - at least on the way out.  It certainly felt harder.

Since then I've had a lazy afternoon, and I'll be going up to bed soon - if only because that's the only really relaxing way to get my feet up.
