A tour of Manchester's Central Library was pretty cool as it was , but to get special access to half a million pounds worth of literature in four books was pretty amazing.
We were allowed to look, not touch!

A mathematical text by Isaac Newton.- late 18th Century
Foxe's Book of Martyrs (a 16th Century Protestant book in English of the time and readable - A sort of Haines Manual on dealing with Catholics etc - Grim reading though).
Shakespeare's 12th Night - an Original publication very early 17th Century
The Nuremburg Chronicle  - 15th Century - an illustrated biblical paraphrase and world history of the time
