MonoMonday - F is for ...........

..... Fleischknödel and Fasching and Fun.
A local inn traditionally serves these enormous Fleischknödeln or meat dumplings during Fasching on Rosenmontag (the Monday before Ash Wednesday). This regional delicacy consists of potato dumplings stuffed with minced pork and beef and served with sauerkraut. They are not so difficult to make but I can't imagine making them so big and for this many people. See extra for a look inside. I had to use the iPhone as my SD card had broken its write protection thingie.
