Pop goes the weasel

1. It's been a tough couple of work weeks, I can't get away from that. I feel a bit renewed today and I start to see things with clearer eyes. Early on in the day I catch sight of a link to a scheme that's running that sounds interesting. I know a person who did it before and - just like that - I send him an email.

2. And, just like that, he gets back to me. We're meeting on Tuesday. It's not the actual scheme, or the application process that's good about this. It's action. Taking some kind of action and finding someone that might offer some guidance. That's the good thing here. I start reading Paul's blog of his time spent in Kolkata last year. It's fantastic.

3. Another application elsewhere goes in and that's a great thing. Fingers crossed but either way a door is knocked on and that can only be a good thing.

4. An old school night of Friday fizz and food. I'm economising and it feels great to be in by seven, the dinner on and a glass of prosecco in hand. We watch Exit Through The Gift Shop - I'm in the middle of a bit of documentary festival at the moment - and it's great. I loved it. What the hell was going on. We bicker and debate the truth of it. I love a film that sparks that kind of reaction.

5. A friday night goes on. I try - and fail - to catch the pop of the cork. It's beyond my photography skills (of which I have little or none, so I don't know why I'm surprised). The Review Show annoys us, again, I don't know why that's a surprise. A proper Friday night though. Ace.
