I've almost forgotten where my bed is!

More signs of Spring ....... new shoots are appearing on the Buddleia!



Update:

Last evening (Monday) at 9.25pm (21:25) we received yet another call from the care home ..... yep you've guessed it Mum had fallen again! This time she had gone forwards ...... just for a change ...... & had skinned her forehead on the carpet! She has also developed a beautiful black eye to go with it!

They had already called an ambulance ....... so we went round only to hear there was a 2 hour wait for it to arrive!

It gets better!

2 hours came & went ....... rang again to see when we could expect it ...... to be told it was on it's way!

No such luck!

Finally at about 2am (02:00) a paramedic arrived ...... suggested it would be a good idea to get checked at the hospital ..... but he would have to call for an ambulance as he could not take her on his own!

Finally around 3.30am (03:30) another paramedic arrived to drive, so that the original chap could keep an eye on Mum! Success!

We finally left the hospital at around 6.30am (06:30) this morning! The most annoying part ...... which says a lot ...... was the fact that all they did ....... after all that ...... was to wash the wound & put a dressing on it! You really couldn't make it up ..... we'll have a great scenario for a sitcom before we are finished at this rate!

Thankfully ..... apart from being extremely tired Mum seems to have taken it all in her stride!

So ...... needless to say ...... we never got to bed at all! I look like a zombie at the moment ..... so I am avoiding all the mirrors in the house!! A very wise move I think! lol
