Swirls

The side gate to a rather splendid manor house which sits on the one of the lanes running from the village.  A young couple live here with their children.  Over the past nine months or so, slowly but surely, they have been having the building repaired.  This gate still remains in its original state - I especially like the swirling designs on the hinges.

The last day of February and it's also pancake day.  The month draws to a close on a damp chilly note.  Many thanks to you all for your kind messages for yesterday's blip.
