Rainbows
We dropped David at Uni and then went to get some things that I needed for Brownies so first stop was Tesco where I bought the food needed for pancakes and a 'cat in the hat' kebab. Then onto hobbycraft where I got some special pens that use edible ink and some pompoms and pipe cleaners to make some cat masks.
We drove down to Redcastle, beautiful sunshine, -3 in places and frost where the sun had nt reached. We went for a walk up to the ruined castle and back down through hundreds of snowdrops near the burn back to the car. The tide was in and so calm and the mountains covered in snow. Ducks quacked, a red kite flew overhead and the sun was warm while listened to the waves lapping against the frozen grass.
A very noisy session at Brownies, the week off probably did nt help, and they were all very excited ! We're working towards a few badges including cooking and Friends to animals where we are focusing on pets so today we were thinking of 'Cat in a hat' and What pet should I choose' by Dr Seuss it's also Book Week in the Uk and a celebration of Dr Seuss in America on the 2nd March so it all worked really well. The girls were fantastic at reading the book, so confident and clear :)
The excitement peeked when it came to making the Cat in the hat kebabs and pancakes with squirty cream, lots of giggles and smiley faces. Think I'll need all day Wednesday to recover at least !
I had a few blips that I intended to use and then this rainbow filled the sky when the sunny day took a sudden turn and became wet, sunny with a down pour of hailstones.
