The Free French Memorial
This Memorial,situated on Lyle Hill,Greenock,was designed and erected by the officers and men of the French Naval Base at Greenock,to commemorate the Forces that sailed from the Clyde during the Battle of the Atlantic, it is in the form of Cross of Lorraine combined with an Anchor.
Mark and i had planned to go out on the motorbike today,but the weather wasn't too good first thing,and i didn't feel that great, we went down to Gourock,had brunch and coffee,then stopped at the monument on the way back,beautiful views across the Clyde up there, quiet night in front of the telly planned for tonight,hope you all have a lovely saturday.
