Christchurch Earthquake Memorial

My Dad is down for a few days .
We started today by going into town to look at the new memorial to those who died in the earthquake 6 years ago.
It was finished and revealed last week, on the anniversary , Feb 22.

It is situated by the Avon river and is actually a very peaceful place , despite being in the middle of a city. The curved wall has the name of every person who died as a result of the Eq, 185 people from all over the world, etched onto it.

A very special place.
