Orchid

One of the old £5 jobs is in flower again, for the 3rd time. I'm sure it must need some new compost by now, it suddenly sprouted these flowers when I was about to do it.

I've got to the 8th session of the music history class. Andres was on fine form this morning. We all laughed a lot with him at his take on the counter -reformation, the multi million business the church operated around the selling of indulgences to protect souls from purgatory. That although castration was illegal and punishable by death the were many castrati choristers at St Peters Rome. 
We listened to wonderful of Palestrina and De Lassus and I throughly enjoyed myself. Though I shan't do next term : so hard to sit for 2 hours. My legs really protest.
Even today St Pauls has just appointed the first woman chorister !
