Ashes To Ashes - Bonfire Bird
"From dust you came. To dust you shall return" says the minister as he marks the sign of the cross on believers' foreheads on Ash Wednesday, just in case they're not aware of their mortality. (In Washington they're adding glitter to the ashes in honour of the LGBT community.)
Jazzy and I see bonfire bird every day on our walk. It lives around number thirteen glasshouse and when we appear it often hops into the charred twigs and ashes. I went down the field this afternoon specifically to get an ashy pic and the darling bird obliged.
It's also the first day of the meteorological spring and St David's Day. I bought a big fat leek and some daffs when I went to the dentist this morning to bunch together with good wishes to all from Wales. (Extra.)
Today's poem is Because You Asked About The Line Between Prose And Poetry by Howard Nemerov. https://www.poets.org/poetsorg/poem/because-you-asked-about-line-between-prose-and-poetry
There you go. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEbFxqy98R8 (Conclusion, prose and poetry can both be beautiful.)
