It was a lovely surprise to receive a big box this afternoon.  Inside was a 'lavender tree' given as a thankyou gift for hosting our niece and her delightful baby son recently.   I’m not sure what variety it is but look forward to seeing the flowers in the summer. Meanwhile its fragrance can be enjoyed as I pass by while it’s inside, until it can adjust to the cold weather.
