Four Fiesole Trees

Before leaving - see yesterday's entry - I wandered around the main piazza. The sun had returned and actually hurt my eyes. I had a cappucio and paste in a cafe and went back to the hotel to grab my camera.

These photos are of four types of tree, or rather three types of tree in which two are in a different state of dress.

At this time of year the shade giving pollarded lime and plane trees are pruned back to encourage thick new growth.

The palm was just minding its own business as I tried to catch it in the sun that by now was flitting between playful clouds.
