Mexican Mailbox

Despite what many told us about no mail in Mexico, there is indeed mail pick up and delivery, at least in certain cities. In Patzcuaro the mailboxes are quite colorful and definitely standout on the wall of the breakfast spot we went to on our final full day here. The mailmen (it is almost an exclusively mail occupation) ride motorcycles and wear shirts the same color as this mailbox. The two times mail was delivered to the house, they simply shoved the letter under the door, so I never got a good photo of them. Things are not so sophisticated in Zihuatanejo. There are no mailboxes on the street and mail delivery is contracted to private parties who wear what they please (which often involves some kind of flip flop and surf trunk combination).
