Disgraceful

This is one of at least eight huge burnoffs that I saw in the countryside all around the outside of Timaru - anyone travelling in from north or south would have thought the town was on fire.

This is irritating to me because  Ecan (Environment Canterbury) have told us townies that if our log burner is more than 15 years old, that we can no longer use our fires, or face a fine. Meanwhile they allow this sort of thing to go on. 

When I got home, I could smell the smoke, and some of the offensive smoke clouds were wafting over the city, making it appear overcast.
