Sanderling

Look carefully and you can see that in fact three of these birds are colour ringed. I had spotted one and that is why I took the photo but unfortunately there is not enough detail on the other two to get a history.
The nearest bird however is clear and after entering the details on a website, within seconds I had its full history.
Ringed in Iceland on the 22nd May 2011, it has only been seen once in between, on the 21st of October 2012 by, of all people, me on a different beach up here on a half term visit to the islands.
