FLOWER FRIDAY

I daresay many of you will have guessed that my Blip for today would be one of the beautiful Hellebores we bought yesterday - and of course, you be right.

This is Hellebore “Pink Frost” and the buds are deep pink but the opened flower has changed to pale pink and cream - I think they might feature quite a lot on Flower Friday.

We noticed when we were at the garden centre yesterday that there were a number of bees around the Hellebore plants, so we are hoping that by buying two we are doing our bit for the bee community.

I especially liked the raindrops on the petals - and of course, Mr. HCB was right that it would be raining by this morning - so a quick “dap in and out” got this shot and I haven’t titivated it at all.

I think we may go out for coffee this morning to meet some friends we haven’t seen for a while - but while I am standing at my kitchen sink, I can admire my beautiful Hellebores.
