Callendar House, Falkirk

Rain is forecast for the weekend, so we thought we'd take advantage of some more sunshine today and go a bit further afield.  We visited Callendar House in Falkirk, sadly bypassing The Kelpies on the way.  Unfortunately, the sun disappeared as we arrived, so the skies were quite grey.

First visit here and it was fascinating to learn so much about its history and that of the local area.  Lovely rooms and good visual displays gave lots of information.  We had lunch in the café, which was mixed (okay for TJ but not so good for me).  A few extras of the interior.  Apparently, scenes from "Outlander" were filmed in the old kitchen.

Home by mid afternoon as TJ has a fishing club dinner this evening.  Okay for some:-)
