Trinity College Bridge Over The Cam.

Designed by James Essex and built in 1764. It replaces a stone bridge,1651, which in turn replaced a stone bridge pulled down by Cromwellian soldiers as a defence during  the English Civil War. The stones were said to be used with others from demolished bridges to reinforce  Cambridge Castle, of which only the mound remains. A mixed day weatherwise with patches of light rain, which luckily I avoided. Now looking forward to daughter No 1 and granddaughter arriving for the weekend.
