Old faithful

Well it isn't all that old really - only about 40 years - but it serves me well.
Not too fancy, strong, and has a good stretch stitch I use a lot. It also has a threader which as I get older, becomes more and more necessary!

The machine I grew up with was a very big heavy duty Singer treadle job. It sewed a new hood for our little ragtop Triumph Herald car when the hail came through it - as well as my wedding gown!
