Don't mention the war
Managed to get 9 hours sleep on the plane and woke up with just 3 hours left. Good flight all in all but that’s what comes of going business. Worth all the air miles. Airport was the normal chaos but found the transfer OK. Took us an hour to get to the hotel in the center of Buenos Aries. Nice little hotel and very central. Got some food at the bar at the end of the road before heading out. Didn’t manage to get any money changed as we were recommended not to take the passports out. Found the Obelisk, went for a look inside the Metropolitan Cathedral with the grave of General Belgrano. Casa Rosado the government house where Eva Peron addressed her supporters from in the Plaza de Mayo. Found the statue of General Belgrano, who invented the Argentinian flag, remembered not to mention the war nearby. From there we headed home via CafeTortoni, the oldest café in Buena Aries. J had hot chocolate and some churro she could dip in and I had a nice cup of coffee at last. Out to dinner tonight at a local steak restaurant. Great steak and a good bottle of Malbec for under a tenner.
