Catch of the Day

The sun came out to play today....yay!!!.....so we went for a slow amble round the new nature reserve that we found a little while ago. Most of the wildlife was in hiding or a long way off but I was pleased to see this grebe swim close by and I watched it diving for it's lunch unsuccessfully for quite a while, then suddenly......BINGO!!!....up it came with a fish that was almost as big as itself ........I watched in awe as it attempted to swallow it ( it took quite a while), but as you can see in the extra it eventually got it down.....then it drifted away quite content.....job done  ;-))
