I is artist (for the day)
Finally joined an art class after thinking about it for years! Just a two Saturdays one as a taster.
I was pretty nervous and wondering if I'd feel out of my depth but everyone was lovely and similar in what they wanted from the course.
It's illustration so was a bit different. Really enjoyed the tasks she set us and felt very zoned in on what I was doing. Hadn't realised it would be so relaxing. Definitely good for the brain.
We were looking at illustration styles and picked a character. I did a sad giant as I feel bad that all his gold gets nicked. Then a brief which will take us into the next class, making a flutter book. I have lots of ideas and later ordered one of the books I was using for my brain storm. Thorn Rose illustrated by Errol Le Gain can't wait for it to arrive.
One person remarked that they love being back in an art classroom and pointed out all the paint splattered pots, they were right so later I grabbed a quick snap and hoped no one would think I was odd!
After I had a wander through Stockbridge and walked home. Then let The Horror channel entertain me with cheesy old films. Very relaxing Saturday.
