Golf Gloom
This image is about as dark as my mood after an absolute shocker of a round at golf today in the Club Championships. It didn't start well as we had to hit off in a thick fog and very, very wet conditions. Things went from bad to worse when about 300 metres into the very first hole I went down like a ton of bricks after slipping on a muddy patch of turf. Just as well my partners had no idea what "Snap Chat" is!! The whole performance only lasted a few seconds but believe me it was spectacular. I gave me golf buddies an encore on the seventh hole. I was so excited for one of my playing partners who had chipped in from off the green for a birdie 2. Once again I landed in the mud, you should have seen me, by this stage I looked like I'd been playing on a soggy rugby pitch for 80 minutes. Caked in mud I soldiered on to my worst score in living memory.
I've promised the golf pro that I won't tell anyone in the club I'm having lessons from him until I start to play better. The only good news is, the putting lesson did produce a better result and I had 15 less putts than I HAD a couple of rounds ago. WHO INVENTED THIS GAME ANYWAY :-((((
PS - This image was taken with my iPhone on Pano from upstairs. You can see that there isn't a creature moving - I think they were all seeking shelter for the night. I'm not complaining about the rain because the veggie patch is ecstatic and the rain water tank is full to the brim :-)
